Learning to interpret signs and trust your intuition.
A Red Tailed Hawk literally was talking to me on my walk today; animals all speak to me daily, but I pay close attention to the ones I don’t see everyday, the ones literally talking to me, and the ones going out of their way to make sure I see them and hear them like this Hawk, I even found one of his feathers. See short video below. If you are talking to God, asking for guidance, help, and assistance or trying to achieve something pay attention to those nudges and hunches and inklings you get. They may come in your dreams, repeated words, random encounters, and they also come in the form of animals. The meanings are highly subjective and are related to the context of what is happening in my life. Right now, I am very deep into writing 6 plus hours a day, I have some deadlines I am trying to meet, setting up a strict daily work schedule and beginning a daily work out routine. I find feathers often, the meanings are all different and it all depends on the kind of bird or animal or feather I see, but I always like to look up the meanings and read everything I can find, to get deeper insights beyond what my gut is telling me it means, but pay attention to that too. There are many websites and books you can google to look up animal totems, never forget everything has meaning not just the power animals, from an ant, to a fly, to a bear or a cat. Flowers have meanings, colors, random archetypes you may see in cloud formations, or a tattoo. Everything around is us steeped in esoteric and symbolic meaning. Your soul and your spirit speak in metaphors, symbols, colors and archetypes.
I pay close attention to the animals that go out of their way to get my attention. When I looked up the meaning of the Red Tailed Hawk today, it makes so much sense and is so on point with what is going on in my life; very exciting stuff happening for me in a few key areas of my life, but it is all requiring sharp instincts, discipline, focus, perspective, and lots of time management skills. Here is an example of how I may interpret their meaning. Hawks are associated with the Planet Jupiter and the 1st chakra because of the color red. Saturn rules the first chakra according to Vedic Astrology. Saturn is in my 5th house of play and creativity and is all about discipline, intensity, and focus so no play right now for me but that is okay I love writing and working. People with this placement can become very successful. Right now I have a few things I need to accomplish so I hear the messages clearly. Jupiter and Mars which is associated with red is in my 4th house and today the Sun is also currently in Cancer my fourth house! The 4th house, is the house that rules over your Home, Ancestors, Childhood and Family. I have also being doing tons to organize, decorate and clean my home lately! I am writing and thinking a lot about all of that right now, so that makes sense to me. I love how Saturn is sneaking its way on in there and letting me know I need to get to work. I hear you Saturn I am doing it,thank you! Thank you Hawk and Jupiter for letting me know I have so much heavenly assistance to complete my goals and this is the right time! Of course I also pulled out the crystals associated with Jupiter and Saturn. Luck and fortune are associated with Jupiter.
Hawks are also associated with intuition; something it’s taken me years to learn and rely on and trust, actually I was always extremely intuitive, but I went through this period in my life when I stopped listening to it and was paying attention only to my mind!!! Trust me; that’s a huge mistake! You need all your faculties and gifts; your mind, your psychic awareness, and your intuition!!!! Lately I have been going on these walkabouts and allowing myself to get a little lost so I can find my way back using only my intuition. The point is to keep my instincts and intuition sharp, something I really want to achieve mastery in. I can’t tell you how many times this has saved me in so many ways. I usually only do this when I have lots of time but I have been trying something new the last year. The way I am finding my way back on these walkabouts is by turning off my phone and gps and allowing myself to guide myself back by reading signs, signals, and paying attention to my internal guidance system, I also call on God, Spirit, Guides, and my own Higher Self for help. The best way to practice that is to learn to rely on it when you’re in emergencies or short on time and need to be at certain places at specific times, or almost out of gas! lol. Learning to rely on it when you really need it, is how you will really learn. But I have a lot of other fun exercises I think I may be teaching to show anyone that wants to learn how you can slowly learn to develop this skill in safe ways.
Don’t try what I am about to tell you, until you really have practiced this for a while and are accurate 10/10 times. I have been practicing for 14 years! So let’s say your out hiking in the wilderness lost in space tripping out like I do, and you suddenly realize, “oh I need to be at such and such place” at a certain time and you want to figure out how to get back to your car or to find your path back but you want to learn to find your way back without your phone. Stay Calm, ground your aura and ask for help from God, Spirit, your angels, guides, or your own Higher Self. During this process, the most important things are to be extremely focused and emotionally calm. Don’t stress!!! Stressing out is the best way to activate the trouble maker-your mind ( unless you have a photographic memory or some other awesome ability) it’s also the best way to turn your intuition off and freak yourself out. If you freak out and stress, you will shoot cortisol into your body and this will shut down your higher thinking ability and send many confusing signals, that is also the moment you trigger your brain to start over thinking and it will begin offering numerous solutions or filling you with potential scenarios that may scare you. Clearly doing all of that will make it even harder to figure it out! You want to eliminate the choices. Learning to develop subtle discernment and figure out what data is coming from spirit, your brain, and your intuition takes time. I have been in so many situations flying by the seat of my pants most of my life, because of my crazy life I just had to rely on this. I have found missing cats this way, found my way home, great restaurants, friends, items that have been lost, and directions this way. Honestly there are thousands of times I use this to even mention.
The way I see it; your brain is limited. Spirit, God, your Higher Self is not; it knows things you don’t know, never sleeps, and is connected to everything and everyone at all times of the day. I have found God/Spirit, My Guides, and my own Intuition to be extremely reliable. In order to trust it, you have to develop inner stillness, mindfulness, paying very close attention and strong discernment. You also need to have 100% faith that this works. For the love of god please believe in magic!!!! Believe in your 6th sense. So much has been written about Intuition if you do some google searches you will find tons written on the subject even written by academics, scholars and other professionals, my favorite book I tell everyone to read is the The Gift of Fear, by Gavin de Becker. Or, you can just trust your intuition right now and trust what I am saying. That is another psychic gift I have of ” just knowing” called Claircognisance, but I think many other people have it too they just don’t know it because it’s not commonly talked about in everyday language. I really do believe that will eventually change.
I’ve spent many years honing this skill and lately feel called to sharpen it, probably why Eagles and Hawks are talking to me a lot lately. They are calling me to do many things! So here is something I did the other day and I decided to do this very spontaneously. Here is what happened; It was about 11:30 am and I needed to get to a noon meditation. Already in my car, I decided I would take a chance getting there without getting gas first. I had 18 miles of gas left in my tank, the trip would require 12 miles which would leave me with about 5 miles to drive to a gas station when I came out. Except after I had already left, I realized I had no idea how close, the closest gas station was to where I was going to be, I left anyways, feeling like it would turn out fine. I was saying to myself internally of course, “okay this is another time to really trust my intuition, but if I get it wrong this is gonna suck!” I wasn’t sure what could happen actually if I ran out of gas lol but it was 100 degrees and it was not something I wanted to experience! I needed to get it right.
When I came back from my meditation, I was a little nervous but I calmed down and said to myself, “okay you can do this”, almost immediately after I had that thought, out of the corner of my eye, the arrow pointing right in the parking lot, got my attention. Then I looked at my gas gauge and the word “right” popped into my head. I was looking at what side the gas gauge was on it was actually on my left but I ” felt” right. So I got in my car, hmm hawed for a second and went right. I came to the next light and I had another split decision to make, ” do I go left or right?” I thought to myself. I knew from memory that there was a couple of gas stations on that street it was not a street I had been on in years by they way and I didn’t know which was closer. I started sweating for a minute and I was like, “okay I feel like going right, but my head is telling me to go left?!” So I went right. 4 miles away on the right was a gas station. In the nick of time, with one mile to spare, I was saved! I took a drive around the block to see what would have happened if I had gone the other two lefts. The second left that gas station was 6 miles away, and the first left, I would have never found a gas station and would have run out of gas! So once again, intuition saves the day!
More on Hawks
When Hawk swoops into your life be ready for a whole new level of awareness developing in your mind and spirit. Hawk bears observation skills and broad perspectives on His wings. You could not ask for a better companion if you’ve been working on your overall insights.
Hawk is often a messenger from Angels, Devas and the Divine. He signals a time in your life when you need to focus on what’s ahead and prepare for a leadership role. Your global vision is a potent helpmate in this. Just as the Hawk, you are ready to fly higher than ever before.
It is not unusual for Hawk to inspire a time when you begin working heavily with new divination methods. Effectively you’re learning to trust your own inner guidance and Higher Self. Do not simply brush off gut instincts as being happenstance. When Hawk is around these moments become far more frequent. Direct your attention to the messages you’re getting and let Hawk hone your focus.
In nature Hawk is a bird of prey. This means that you are learning a lot about timing your actions. Hawk medicine begins with observation and ends with swift, decisive and successful movement.
Do not be surprised if you find your psychic abilities, especially clairvoyance, growing. One of Hawk’s greatest aptitude is their vision, but in a spiritual setting this applies to not just physical site but supernatural “seeing” too.
In ancient times Hawk was associated with the soul. The Egyptians, for example, depicted the human spirit as a Hawk that flew out of the body and reincarnated as a Hawk. Notably Horus, the sky god, also held Hawk sacred. Similarly, the Greeks associated Hawk with Jupiter, the chief among all gods.
